How We Train
Learn martial arts-based fitness and simple self-defence techniques rooted in Bruce Lee’s Jeet Kune Do (JKD) philosophy, focusing on purposeful movements with efficiency, directness, and simplicity.
Light fitness & conditioning (no pressure, no contact to the head)
Shadow work, pad drills, paired training, light sparring (optional)
JKD/Wing Chun techniques like Pak Sau (trap, block, counter)
Scenario-based exercises (what to do in real-life situations)
Progress from slow, safe drills to faster, more advanced flows

My Philosophy and Methods


I am Yiannis, an ex-professional athlete and qualified martial arts and self-defense instructor, coach, and mentor.
With a background in mentoring sports, self-confidence, nutrition, and fitness, I offer comprehensive coaching to help you achieve your personal best.
I am a passionate and highly skilled martial arts and fitness instructor, self-defense coach, and mentor with extensive experience working with individuals of all ages and abilities, from teenagers and adults to professionals, mature individuals, as well as amateur and professional athletes.
My expertise spans multiple disciplines, allowing me to tailor training programs that enhance physical ability, mental resilience, and self-confidence.
I have had the privilege of coaching at prestigious institutions like Collège du Léman (Geneva), UEFA, as well as training individuals in Jeet Kune Do and other self-defense techniques across Switzerland, the UK, France, Cyprus, and Greece.
Fluent in four languages (English, French, German, and Greek), I can connect with a diverse range of clients, from young athletes and corporate professionals to private individuals seeking practical self-defence skills.
My approach is highly adaptive and client-centred. Whether in group settings or private sessions, I focus on practical application, efficient learning, and building confidence.
Having trained under renowned experts such as John Cooke (former US Marine and diplomatic security specialist), Emil Martirossian (noted UK martial artist and actor), and Rob Ley (multiple-time European Martial Arts Master of the Year), I bring a unique blend of technical mastery and real-world application to my teaching.
Additionally, my background in boxing, fitness coaching, and football enhances my ability to develop well-rounded athletes. I ensure that my training is not only effective but also engaging, empowering, and tailored to each individual’s needs and fitness level.
Whether mentoring young athletes, coaching professionals in high-pressure environments, or helping mature individuals improve their self-defence skills.
My goal is always the same: To inspire, motivate, and equip my clients with the skills they need to perform at their best, both physically and mentally.

Private and Group Coaching Sessions: Learn martial arts-based fitness and simple self-defence techniques rooted in Bruce Lee’s Jeet Kune Do (JKD) philosophy, focusing on purposeful movements with efficiency, directness, and simplicity.

Languages: Classes are available in both French and English.
Session Venues: Outdoors (weather permitting), gyms in Geneva and Vaud, or private sessions at your residence or premises.
Trial Lesson: Experience JKD with a trial lesson. Learn basic stances, blocks, and punches, and test these moves safely. By the end of the session, you'll have a clear understanding of the effectiveness of JKD is, and whether my coaching style aligns with your goals.
